Well my latest re-start hasn’t been that spectacular, which is why I haven’t been posting. obviously. Motivation is still lacking. But I have a plan to help with that. As a Girls on the Run coach, I am slated to do a 5K on the 21st of this month. I should be able to finish it, but I will be walking and there will be no speed records set. My training has been nearly non-existent and frankly I’m disappointed with myself. I wanted to do this race with more speed and perhaps even some running. So, I’m trying to get in some training walks in the next couple weeks so that it’s not a total bust.
And so I don’t start slacking off after the Girls on the Run 5K, I’ve signed up for a special training group to walk the Abe’s Amble 10K in late August. It will be great to train with a group of people with similar abilities and have some accountability. I need accountability something fierce. This group will do that for the exercise portion….now if I can just find some accountability for my diet. The MyFitnessPal app is great but doesn’t have any teeth.
